Dave Alexander,
Bassist for The Stooges

This three-color screen print is a tribute to Dave Alexander (Zander) of The Stooges. Zander dropped out of his first day of senior high for a bet to pursue a career in music, therefore reimagining a betting slip felt like an appropriate way to communicate this story. Personal details of Zander are embedded in the EAN code and rebellious spirit of The Stooges communicated by adapting the copy of a betting slip.

Intentional off-print and raw textural imperfections, inherent to the screen printing process, evoke the visceral energy of The Stooges' music and the authentic print aesthetics of its time.
